The 40-yard container is the right call when the debris outpaces the bin. A full kitchen-and-bath gut in a Hayes Barton home, a whole-house floor tear-out in Oakwood, or a commercial build-out near North Hills will overfill a 20 or 30-yard fast, and a second haul costs more than sizing up once. The 40-yard box measures about 22 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 8 feet tall, with high walls that swallow bulky framing lumber, old cabinetry, and torn-out subfloor without you having to break everything down.

Here is the honest trade-off: the 40-yard bin holds the most volume, but it is not for heavy, dense loads. Concrete, brick, dirt, shingles, and roofing tile are heavy enough that a full 40-yard box would blow past legal road weight, so for those jobs we point you to a smaller container instead. Use the 40-yard for light-but-bulky debris, construction scrap, drywall, furniture, and general cleanout waste. Space matters with a container this size. In tighter Raleigh streets around Five Points, Boylan Heights, and Mordecai, the 40-yard needs a clear straight approach and a driveway or yard about 60 feet of run for the truck to set it down and pick it back up. Newer lots in Brier Creek, Wakefield, and Bedford at Falls River usually have the room. If it sits on a public street rather than your own property, the City of Raleigh may require a right-of-way permit, mention your setup when you call and we'll flag it before the truck rolls.
